This blog has evolved into a place to post my photography. If every picture's worth a thousand words, then I guess it's time to pull up a chair and start reading...

Why didn't you tell me that you take requests? Or that you fill them so quickly? Really, this is something I should know.
What a great picture! I love how it suspends that moment and hints at the destruction that came just before it, and will happen just after.
When was this taken? Where was this taken? Is this picture part of a story or is this picture 'the' story? Really, Mike, you offer no details, but then, no one requested that of you, did they?
Did I mention that it is a great picture? Yes, I think I did....
I agree with Michele, we need more detail! My first instinct is that this picture portrays a tragedy that started & is going to continue. (And, yes, great picture)
Looks like live-wire fun with steel beams as the pole base burns down-
One of the fires I heard about perhaps? Hope you weren't too close!
Hi Mike:
Since, there is no explaination of what the picutre is.
I'll try to explain what I see.
This pic is close to the railroad tracks. The fire has just begun to burm, smoldering in the bushes. It has caught the pole on fire. The black cover over the wire tells me that it is in the country of far from a central office used by the telephone company. The picture was possibly taken for insurance purpose. Do to the costly amount of a pole and contruction to be replaced.
